Who says that recipes have to be secret?
I want to share one of my summer favorites with all y'all!
FRUIT COBBLER
This can be made with fresh or frozen fruit.
My fave is fresh blackberry cobbler.
Fruit Cobbler by Margo Turner
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Boil 1 cup of water on stove.
3 1/2 - 4 cups of fruit (frozen, fresh, or canned) (blueberries turn out ugly)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Spray or grease 9x13 pan.
Batter
Cream together sugar, milk, and butter.
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
Blend flour mixture into sugar mixture.
Spread fruit into 9x13 pan.
Pour batter over fruit.
Spread batter to cover fruit.
Topping
In a small bowl mix 3/4 cup sugar & 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch.
Sprinkle topping over batter.
Carefully pour 1 cup of boiling water over top of cobbler.
DO NOT STIR.
Bake at 375 got 50 minutes.
Do not overbake.
